Shawanda Ann Darden was born on February 14, 1966, to James and Annie Darden.  She departed this life on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Vanderbilt Bedford County Hospital.

She graduated from Shelbyville Central High School in 1985.  She worked at Tyson food until she became disabled at age 24.

Shawanda confessed Christ at a young age and loved going to church.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Kathleen Davis; grandparents, James M. Darden, Sr., Dorothy Darden, Lettie Maxwell and Charles Maxwell; aunts, Clara Maxwell, Nan Maxwell and Patricia Washington; and uncles, Clifford Darden, Charles Maxwell and Sam Maxwell.

Shawanda Ann Darden leaves to cherish her memory, her parents, James M. Darden, Jr. and Annie Maxwell Darden; her brother, Malcolm C. Darden; her sister, Jennique Robinson of Decatur, AL; aunts, Yvonne (James) Metcalf of Maryland and Amaryllis (Elder Samuel) McDonald of Texas; uncle, Kenneth W. Darden  of Clarksville; special cousins, Toledo (Bobby) Johnson and Joseph (Tara) Maxwell; nephews, Taurian (Tiffany) Darden, Chrisean Robinson and Kelan Robinson of Decatur, AL; nieces, Courtney Jones of Somerset, KY and Alika Darden; and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
