Robert Lee Shannon was born on June 12, 1953 to the late Titus Paige Shannon and Freddie M. Shannon. He passed away on Friday, March 29th, 2013 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. He was also preceded in death by two brothers Benton Shannon and an infant baby brother.

Robert Shannon is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Jimmie Gertrude Shannon; three daughters Debra (Marc) Hasting, LaVonda and Shari Nelson; five granddaughters Jazmine, Shakendra, Markecia, LaTriona and Timijah; three grandsons Martavious, Tre’von and Brandon and one great grandson Cayden; three sisters Dorothy (Lawrence) McKinney, Virginia (Gilbert) Seay and Marie (Bill) Black; three brothers Andrew, Charlie (Mary) and Joe Shannon; one aunt Rosseta Stanford; and many other relatives and friends.
