Quinton Jon’Terius Matheny Young was born August 15, 2005 with hydrocephalus. At the age of 10, he was granted his angel wings on February 29, 2016.

Quinton was a lively fourth grader, who touched and inspired everyone he met. He loved balloons, bubbles, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, girls, and Walmart. Quinton also loved going to school to see his friends and teachers at Special Kids and Murfreesboro City Schools. He enjoyed laughing, running over people and flipping with his wheelchair, playing video games, giving high fives, getting his cheeks pinched, and especially not wearing pants.

 Quinton was very special to so many people, and although his time with us may seem too short, having him apart of our lives will forever be a blessing.  With Quinton’s passing we remind each other that his life is one to be celebrated.  Although, we will miss him every day, especially that laugh and scream. He will forever remain in our hearts.

Quinton was preceded in death by his cousin Aaron Singleton.

Quinton his survived by his mother Amber Matheny; sisters, Serenitee Matheny and Kahyrah Wooten; brother Ladale Matheny (Floyd); grandparents, Karen Matheny, Angela (Kherman) Howse and Danny Brown; aunts, Hollie (Chase) Pelham, Brandi (Jeremy) Johnson and Brittany Wooten; uncles, Jason Brown, Daniel Matheny, Tomias Anderson, and Darrin Brown; cousins, Chloe Parker and Braxton Pelham, Dayden Matheny, Kateria, Hunter, Trey, Keri, and Zachary and Jayden Brown; godmother, Desiree Keith; godbrother, Isaiah Turner; god sister, Nevaeh Keith; special friends, Ladale and Jaylen Floyd, Emonie and Ceana Wooten, Nicholas and Khalieya Brown, and Amgelica Olivarez.
