My'Quavious "Junebug" Barrett entered the world on a blistering hot June 10, 2009, at 4:37 am, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Myegereal and Daniel. As the third of four children—and the first son—he quickly became the heartbeat of his family.

He attended LaVergne High School, where he excelled as a straight-A student and proudly played varsity baseball. Whether standing tall on the pitcher's mound or leading quietly in the classroom, My'Quavious carried himself with determination, humility, and grace.

Naturally calm and laid back, he came alive in the presence of love. Around family, he was funny, wise, and open-hearted—because they were his comfort. He dreamed of becoming an anesthesiologist, driven by a deep desire to ease others' pain. Helping people wasn't just something he did; it was who he was.

My'Quavious leaves behind a family who adored him endlessly: his parents, Myegereal and Daniel; his siblings, Myegedra and My'Davion; and his grandparents, Steven, Darlene, and Toyeo. He is also lovingly remembered by his aunts Tanyae, Danielle, Brianna, Temora, and Dequindra; his uncles David, Rico, and Andrew; along with a host of cousins, teammates, classmates, and friends who were blessed to know his gentle spirit.

His presence was a gift. His memory is a light. And his love will continue to echo through every life he touched.

Forever loved. Forever Junebug.
