Jo Ann, the eldest daughter of Isaiah and Hattie Webster, was born on Tuesday, March 4, 1947 in Mt. Pleasant, TN.

Jo Ann received her education in the Davidson County Public School System. She obeyed the gospel and was baptized into Christ at an early age. She was a longtime member of the Hart Street Church of Christ.

Jo Ann was an exemplary employee at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for 37 years as an X-ray Technician and Manager. She performed her work with commitment and competence. She was a caring and loving person who also possessed a good sense of humor.

Jo Ann was highly regarded as the matriarch of the family. She found meaningful satisfaction in looking out for everyone in the family. She enjoyed and cherished family celebrations. Her annual Thanksgiving Day Breakfasts were eagerly anticipated!
Jo Ann was affectionately known to her family as “Nanny”. Her greatest love was spending time with her grandkids, who adored her! She also enjoyed eating out and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her devoted stepfather, Richard Williams and her sister, Doris Jean Webster.

She quietly departed this life on Memorial Day, Monday, June 27, 2019 at the Nashville General Hospital at Meharry.

She leaves to cherish her memory to her children, Terry Webster, Roshutta (Billy) Webster, Andrea Webster, Dont’ae Webster and Thomas Fennessee; sisters, Linda Webster, Vickie Webster, Gloria Webster, Diane Webster, Deborah Webster, Sadie Brown of Calumet City, IL and Dorethea Burns of Chicago, IL; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; devoted friends, Stanley Hamilton and Doretha Dowell; a host of nieces nephews, cousins and other friends; and her Hart Street Church family.
