Winifred Lee Richardson affectionately known as “Sista” was born on November 29, 1930 to the late Emanuel and Charlotte Hunter in Tampa, Florida. She went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 13, 2016 at the Life Care Center of Hickory Woods in Lavergne, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emanuel and Charlotte Hunter, three brothers, Emanuel Hunter Jr, (Ruth), Rudolph Hunter (Clara) and Alfred Hunter. She was educated in Florida (attended Catholic schools) and received a practical nursing license from the Florida State Board of Nursing in 1960.

She professed her faith in Christ at an early age and was confirmed by the Catholic Church. Later in life she converted to the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) faith. She was a faithful member of Coppin Chapel AME Church in Indianapolis, IN for many years.

She united in holy matrimony with James Mintze in 1951 and from that union was born four children. On March 30, 1971 she united in holy matrimony for the second time with Edward Richardson and raised her four children and his son. They were married for 45 years.

She leaves to remember her life: Her husband, Edward Richardson; three daughters, Janice Thomas (Leon Angelo), Thewana Winbush, Robin Bullock (Ricky); one son, James Mintze, Jr.; one son, Edward Richardson Jr.; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one god child; and a host of brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
