Sharon Renee Bullard McCroskey Woods departed this life on November 7, 2016, at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Sharon Renee Bullard McCroskey Woods, was the oldest of three children. She was born on September 18, 1955 to the late Willie Fred and Dr. Idella Bullard in Chicago, Illinois.

She graduated from Kenwood High School in Chicago, Illinois in 1973. She graduated from Middle TN State University in 1978, with a major in Biology and a minor in English.

She united in holy matrimony with David McCroskey. To this union a son was born, Frederick Morrice McCroskey. She later married Herschel Woods, II, in 2011. She accepted Christ at a very young age in Chicago, Illinois. She later joined Allen Chapel AME Church in Murfreesboro, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents Willie Fred Bullard, Dr. Idella Bullard Brooks and step-father, Lonie Brooks.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Herschel Woods, II; one son, Frederick Morrice McCroskey; one step-son, Herschel Woods, III; two step-daughters, Ronda Brown and Herneshia Woods, all of Murfreesboro, TN; mother-in-law, Mattie Woods Dunston; two, god-sons, Albert Miles, III and Essex Johnson; one god-daughter, Alicia Drake; one devoted brother, Cedric (Angie) Bullard of Chicago, IL; one sister Brittany Benjamin of Chicago, IL; two brothers-in-law, Frederick (Hope) Woods of Glenn Dale, MD and Collier Woods of Murfreesboro, TN; sister-in-law, Marilyn Woods-Robinson of Murfreesboro, TN; three extremely devoted friends (like sisters), Bonita Furcron of Chicago, IL, Penny Miles and Tina Puckett of Murfreesboro, TN; one Aunt Hattie Mai Johnson of Louisville, KY; one great Uncle Arthur (Linda) Oates of Shelbyville, TN; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
