Sharon Felton was born Sharon Fletcher on July 10, 1965 to Mildred Sue Turner and Jimmy Mitlow.  She was a loving mother, sister, daughter and wife.  In her primary years, she was raised by her grandmother Susana Mitlow, grandfather Sterling Mitlow and father Jimmy.  Later in life, she was raised by her mother, Mildred Sue Turner, along with her sister, Barbara Henry.  In 1979 and 1981, Sharon was blessed with two children, Shavon and Larry Verge Jr., respectively.  With the support of Larry Verge Sr., she raised Shavon and Larry Jr. in a loving household until she met her husband, Aundra Felton, in 1988.  Shortly after that time, her mother passed.

At the time Sharon met Aundra Felton, they fell in love almost immediately.  As a couple, they set and achieved personal and professional goals to provide a good life for her children.  After being together for several years, Aundra and Sharon became one in God’s eyes through the Holy Union of Marriage in 1994.  They had a strong love that lasted until Sharon’s passing.  While their love for each other was like an unbreakable chain, they were not blessed with any children together. 

In March of 2003, Sharon began to have chronic health issues and instances where she experienced multiple hospital stays. This, however, did not affect her love for God or her home church, Rockvale Independent Original Church of God. While she was not able to attend church often due to her health, she remained faithful to the Word of God and had a light within that illness could not dim, especially when she received visits from her church family. During her last hospital stay her body was not able to recover as it had so many times before.  She passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 and joined her mother, sister and father. 

She is survived by her eternally loving husband, Aundra Felton; mother-in-law, Dorothy (Sam) Lawless; father-in-law, Tommie (Hattie) Felton; children Shavon and Larry (Tamiko) Verge Jr.; grandchildren, Alana, Jayden, Kaelyn Verge and KeySonja Henry Carthen; sisters-in-law, Nicole, Stephanie and Jennifer Felton; and a host of other relatives.  She was the brightness that lit up the room for her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
