Rosie Bell Sims was born on November 13, 1917 in Maury County, Columbia, TN to the late General and Josephine Jordan. She also has five siblings that preceded her in death. The Lord called Rosie home on March 15, 2014. She confessed Christ at an early age and remained a devout Christian.

Rosie met and married William Sims who preceded her in death. Rosie was a faithful Member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Shelbyville, TN. She served on the Usher Board for many years and was lovingly honored as Emeritus. Rosie was active in many clubs. She was a member of NAN BPW Club, Board Member of Dillan Historical Resource Center, Better Homes and Garden, and The Missionary Society at Mt. Zion.

Rosie was preceded in death by her daughter Mae Catherine Shaw Woods and son Johnny Sims, Sr. Rosie leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Pauline (Leonard) Thaxton, of Las Vegas, NV; one brother, Abraham (Donna) Jordan, of Dowagaic, MI; nine grandchildren, Sharon Woods, Elaine (Samuel) Chase, Jeffrey Woods, Michael (Nettie) Woods, Cedric Woods, Calvin Woods, Christopher (Alysia) Woods, Delphia Woods and Johnnie Sims, Jr.; two devoted nieces, Hollie Marie AlShamaly and Mildred Darlene AlKhalili; devoted friends Joann Fann and Christine Sims; Rosie also leaves a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and loving family and friends.
