Mildred Elizabeth Smith Williams-Bey was born on August 3, 1937, to the late Gabe Tollie Smith and the late Nettie Lou Smith. She went home to be with the Lord February 15, 2016. She professed hope in Christ at an early age, becoming a life-long member of Brandon View Baptist Church, now God’s House of Restoration. She was educated in the Rutherford County School system. Mildred was united in holy matrimony to Marshall Williams-Bey and to this union was born six children.

Mildred leaves to cherish her memories, six children, Yvette (Thomas) Ramey, Felicia (Larry) McCollum, Darryl Williams-Bey, Avis Hambright, Pamela (David) Strong, and Terrence Williams-Bey; siblings, Annie Marie Smith, Elmer Smith, Wilma Batey, and Darryl Smith; grandchildren, Nakisha Williams-Bey, Jovan (Robert) Johnson, Oddonis Williams-Bey, Darryl (Antoinette) Johnson, Brittany and Bryan Hambright, De’Lauren Pratt, and Robert McCollum; great-grandchildren, Roshod Carter, Terrence and Tamia Swan; devoted niece, Nita Smith; devoted friends Derbie Fincher of Philadelphia, PA,  Delores Robinson of Beckley, West Virginia, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
