Ms. Melissa Yrette King was born on July 10, 1981. At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Ms. King was a devoted aunt and friend. She was well-known for her happiness and sweet and gentle spirit. She was immensely loved by her family and friends. On Sunday, June 20, 2023, she left this earthly life.

Ms. King graduated from Oakland High School in 1999 and entered into the field of customer service. She enjoyed assisting others and her leadership qualities led her into accepting various roles in her perspective field. Her compassion for people and her tenacity for continuous growth led her to complete an Associate Degree in Business Management at Daymar Institute in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She maintained a 3.9 G.P.A. and she achieved the President’s and Dean’s list. After graduating, she continued in the field of customer service.

Ms. King was proceeded in death by her parents, Patricia Ann King and Saint Edgar Martin Jr., her aunt, Connie King, and her uncles, John King, Frankie King, James King Jr., and Ricky King; her brother Saint Edgar Martin III.

Ms. King is survived by her aunts and uncles, Linda King, Brenda King, David King, Mattie Louise Martin, Cleo (Debra) Martin, Leo (Alma) Martin, Frank Henry (Dorothy) Martin, Linda Fay (John) Daniel; siblings, Patrick (Christine) King, Fredrick King, Fred (Vanessa) Martin, Melvin Lee Martin, Laqusha (Jason) Willard, Brittany Yeargins, Deadrick Yeargins, Pam Collins, and Tommy Mile; along with a special cousin and devoted friends, Wyakia (Kia) Martin Amber Visocky, and Lautausha Wilson; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
