Mattie Millie Harris “Mother” was born October 17, 1939. Mattie transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Thursday September 19, 2019 @ Community Care of Rutherford County.

Mattie received her education in the public school system of Rutherford County.

Mattie loved to dress up for church, loved to talk and she never met a stranger.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Millie Patterson and Herman Alexander; stepfather, Frank Patterson: husband, Joe Robert Harris; daughters, Mattie Howse, Millie and Ruby Harris; and grandchildren, Tamda Laye and Stanley Shondale Harris.

Mattie leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Robert and Stanley Harris; son-in-law, David Howse; three sisters, Lola Harris, Mary Davis, and Deborah Russell; sister-in-law (husband’s sister) Emma (Jessie) Vaughter; seven brothers, Robert and Frank Patterson, Robert (Laura), John (Barbara), George (Annie), Terry (Kim) Alexander, Herbert (Kathy) Davis; 11 grandchildren Cynthia Spivey, Veronica and Terri Gooch, Durroccous (Marqulita) Harris, Ivory Harris, Terrell Smith, Danisha Smith, Jacqueline and Jacquitia Harris, Millie, Franklin and Frank Gaines; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and her devoted friend, Lola Harris
