Mrs. Lillie Carney Sneed departed this life on September 29, 2019. She was born May 19, 1949 to the late Alf Sr. and Nemmie Johnson Carney in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Lillie was educated at Holloway High School in Murfreesboro, TN. She accepted Christ at an early age. She left Murfreesboro, TN at an early age and resided in Brooklyn, New York for about 50 years before returning to Murfreesboro, TN. She worked at KleerVu and Rutherford County School Board.

Lillie was preceded in death by her son, Joe Carney; brothers, William, Robert, George, Joe, Roy and Frank; and one sister, Carrie Carney.

Lillie loved her family and leaves to cherish her memories, two sons and two daughters, Mrs. Teresa Carney Sahi of Murfreesboro, TN, Tammy Carney, Darryl Young and Maurice Carney all of Brooklyn, New York; three brothers and four sisters, Alf (Eva) Carney, Daisy Rucker, Jim Carney, Jinnie Crockett, Nemmie (James) Inmon, Nealus (Clara) Carney and Sarah Ann (Johnny) Hathaway; devoted niece, Theresa Crockett of Murfreesboro, TN; six grandkids, Felicia, Tukeea, Phelix, Derrick, Enyia and Maliyah; a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
