Maggie Lillian King was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on January 29, 1927, to the late Walter Blackman and Alberta Howse. She left this earthly life on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

Maggie had a passion for cooking, family dinners, knitting and most of all, taking care of others.  She attended Mt. Zion until 2003 and then moved her membership to Mt. Zion Nashville until 2017. When her health started to decline, she moved back to Mt. Zion Murfreesboro.

Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Charlie King; daughters, Betty Stokes and Martha Faye Cason; and a host of brothers and sisters.

Maggie leaves her loving memory to her two children,  Michael (Melody) Greer and Pamela Odom; grandchildren, Sherry (Lowton) Williams, Fredrico (Kelly) Wade, Doneshia Odom, Stanley Blackman, devoted grandson, Darryl Smith, Tyler Bowman, Debra (Scott) Fritz, Sybil Bigsby, Dwight (Kesha) Cason,; sisters-in-law, Earline Blackman and Flora Blackman; special friends, Shawna, Marcus Laws, Henrietta Gaines, Mitchel Bowman, Tina and Lamar and Greg and Debra Lowse; and a host of other relatives and friends.
