Mrs. Julie Nelson Brazelton was born on December 12, 1949 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  She was educated in the Rutherford County School System.

Julie departed this life on September 20, 2015 at Heritage Medical Center Hospital.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Lorene Nelson; son Robert Ridley; and brothers, Johnny, Richard and Jerry Nelson.

Julie leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Annie Ridley of Nashville, TN and Charlotte Ridley of Shelbyville, TN; five grandchildren, Lavoisher, Derisha, Aaron, Lepale and Dominique; four sisters, Martha Toggle of Chattanooga, TN, Sarah (Jerry) Holman of Shelbyville, TN, Marion Nelson of Murfreesboro, TN, and Jimmie Shannon of Christiana, TN; six brothers, Tommy (Betty) Nelson, George (Vanessa) Nelson, William (Marie) Nelson, Albert (Judy) Nelson, Clarence Nelson, Pleas (Jenee) Nelson all of Murfreesboro, TN; one uncle, George (Mary) Taylor; and devoted friend, Kesse Stovall.
