Mrs. Annie Lou Darden, age 85, was born July 16, 1937, to the late Charlie Teal and Lettie Lee Scott Maxwell, and left this earthly life on  Thursday, October 20, 2022.

Annie retired from Eaton Corporation and was a member of Rebecca 24 Eastern Stars and Golden Circles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Teal and Lettie Lee Scott Maxwell; daughter, Shawanda Ann Darden; siblings, Elvis, Sam, James, Clara, Nannie Lee, George and Charles Maxwell; sister-in-law, Eleanor Patricia Washington; brother-in-law, Clifford Darden; and nephews, Robert Anderson and “Chimp”.

Annie is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, James McKinley Darden, Jr.; daughter, Jennique Robinson; son, Malcolm C. Darden; grandchildren, Taurian (Tiffany) Darden, Chrisean Robinson, Kelan Robinson, Courtney Jones and Alika Darden; sisters in law, Yvonne (James) Metcalf and Amaryllis (Elder Samuel) McDonald; brother in law, Kenneth W. Darden; special friend, Barbara Draine; cousins, Nancy Fishback, Nancy Buchanan, Martha Norwood and Benita Perkins; niece, Toledo Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
