Alberta Leath Verge was born on August 12, 1941 in Franklin, TN, by her parents, the late Albert Leath and Mary McFarland. She departed this life on March 2, 2014 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the late O.Z. Verge, Sr. and her son, the late O.Z. Verge, Jr.

Mrs. Alberta Verge is survived by one daughter, Mary Jones Verge of Nashville, TN; two sons, John Verge and Johnathan Verge of Murfreesboro, TN; five grandchildren, Mayana Ware, Dayquan Jones, Destinae Verge, Mikeal Verge and Johnathan Verge, Jr.; one great-grandchild, Ty’ren Jaithan Williams; three god-children, Alexis Kelly, Imani Bunch and Serina Sanders; and a host of devoted friends.
