Mitchell Jerome Singleton, Sr. of Shelbyville, TN, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 20,2023. He was the youngest of two children. He was born on June 27, 1952, in Wartrace to the late Robert Lee Singleton, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Frances Singleton.

He is also preceded in death by his oldest brother, Robert Lee Singleton, Jr.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories four children, Terre S. Holman of Murfreesboro, TN, Charilyn Q. Burgeson of Murfreesboro, TN, Mitchell Jerome Singleton, Jr.  of Shelbyville, TN and Sancho L. Singleton of Shelbyville, TN; one grandson, KeAndre Lee Mitchell McClain of Tulsa, OK; three aunts, Glyndon Holland, of Pontiac, MI, Shirly Singleton of Shelbyville, TN and Joyce Gross of Wartrace, TN; four uncles, Elder James Gross, of Murfreesboro, TN,  Arthur Gross of Wartrace, TN, Gary Gross of Wartrace, TN and Morgan Cross of Wartrace, TN.
