McClain Rucker was born January 23, 1923 to the late Leonard and Jessie McClain Rucker in Rutherford Co. Tennessee. He departed this life on March 21, 2018   following a lengthy illness.

Preceding in death were five brothers, Leonard, Jr., Elbert (Eb), Ralph, Ellis and Sylvester; two sisters, Marie and Isabell.

He is survived by his devoted wife Tennie Mae Sims Rucker of 69 years.  No children were added to this union.

He attended the Rutherford Co. school system and thereafter did military service in the Army stationed in Germany, fighting in World War II and received medals and certificates.

Mac as he was fondly called by neighbors and friends in the Unionville and Halls Mill community, was a farmer and enjoyed raising cattle, planting crops and just talking about his tractors.  He was employed by Jensens Inc. and by the US Rubber Mill (Uniroyal) in Shelbyville, TN

McClain obeyed the gospel by being baptized into Christ under the ministry of Bro. Anthony R. Booker at the Bird St. Church of Christ and attended regularly until failing health over took him.

In addition to his loving wife Tennie, he leaves to cherish his memory one aunt, Callie McClain; two brothers-in-law, Arbra Sims and George Hampton; three sisters-in-law, Mildred Sims, Vinnie Rucker and Christine Sims; a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, devoted cousins Johnnie G. and Doris Smith, other devoted relatives and friends too numerous to number or name but, he loved each life that he touched in his own special way. He will be sadly missed by many.
