Lloyd Peter Wilkerson was born November 14, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Clarence Wilkerson and Victoria “Lillie” Wilkerson. Lloyd attended Houma Public Schools and graduated from Southdown High School in 1962. After high school, Lloyd moved to Kentucky for Job Corp.

He is preceded in death by his sister ,Edna Wilkerson.

Lloyd worked for Nashville Wire as a  Machine Operator Specialist for over 40 years.

Lloyd was a complete gentleman. Lloyd was a man of a few words but you knew the love honor and respect that he had for his wife. He cherished his wife Georgia. (you can reword this but he LOVED my granny and I know he would want that stated) Always kind to everyone he met. Lloyd enjoyed fishing, swimming, and playing tennis in his free time.

Lloyd was baptized at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. He later moved his membership to Crystal Fountain Outreach Ministries in Nashville, TN and was a faithful and active member until his health begin  to fail him.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Georgia, children Cordale Wilkerson and Lerance Wilkerson ;step children, Melvin Parrish Jr, Cassandra Bentley (Michael), Michael Parrish (Mary Ann), Adrian Parrish (Latamarah), Clifford Parrish(Jackie);  two grandchildren, Colbi Wilkerson and Taylor Patterson; great grandchild Charli Patterson; sisters, Vera (Cornelius) Bolden, Barbara Ward, Joyce Wilkerson, Andrea (Zilton) Lawson , and Linda Wilkerson; brothers, Raymond Wilkerson, Newman (Audretta) Wilkerson; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends; and devoted friends Richard Johnson and Beverly Wilkerson.
