Larry Eugene Sims, age 60, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born on May 25, 1958 in LaVergne, TN to the late Herman and Mildred Sims.

Mr. Sims was a longtime resident of Shelbyville, TN and attended school @ Wheel Community.  He liked to farm most of all, but he was a jack of all trades.  If someone asked him to do something, he would always say, “I’ll see about it.”  He would go to Bedford Market for his morning coffee with friends and worked from just about sunup to sundown.  When he was with family, he would always have a good time hunting and playing his guitars.

Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Mildred Sims and daughter, Margaret Marcella Hill of Shelbyville, TN.

Mr. Sims leaves to cherish his memories, one loving and devoted daughter, Eugenia Sims; three sisters, Juliet Merrell, Sara (Thomas) McCord and Shelia (Erick) Wilson; one brother, Herman Sims, Jr.; four aunts, Teenie Rucker, Christine Sims, Darlene Nelson and Juanita Nelson; one uncle, Arbra Sims; very devoted friends, Paul, Tommy, J.B. Burton and the Bowling brothers; one very special lady friend, Betty; half-sister, Jackie Benson; half-brother, Terry Sims; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
