Larry Eugene Clark was born May 30, 1953 to the late Maude Anna Clark and Menus Gooch in Rutherford County, TN. He was a graduate of Smyrna High School. At an early age Gene professed his life to Christ at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Smyrna, TN under the leadership of Rev. O.C. McClain. Gene was a member of the choir and the Young People’s Gospel Chorus.

Gene was preceded in death by his mother and father, two sisters, two brothers and a daughter. He leaves to bless his memories, his loving wife Sherie W. Clark; daughters, Trina, Deanna and Rachel; sons, Larry Devante Clark and Larry Eugene Clark, Jr.; sisters, Joyce (Willie) McCullough, Doris(Sonny) Tatum, Yomi Clark, and Mattie Thomas; two sisters in law, Gwen and Mary; eight grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends Tony Starks, Darryl Johnson and William Henderson.
