Joe Frank Anderson departed this life on December 11, 2022. Joe was born on May 13, 1940, in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Mr. John Anderson and Miss Jessie C. Robertson Batey. Joe was preceded in death by his four brothers, John Robertson, John Anderson, Eugene Anderson and Robert (Budgie) Bate, one sister Carolyn Batey and brother-in law Kenneth Fleming Sr.
Joe Frank attended public schools in Nashville, Tn. After many conversations and questions about the Lord’s church he became a member of the body of Christ at the Jackson Street Church of Christ under the leadership of Bro. Michael Crowder on April 6,2008.
He was a lover of basketball and played at Cameron High school before leaving and going to finish school in Chicago, Illinois., Bowling was also one of his favorites. He was an excellent cook and a creator of many dishes.
While living in Chicago Joe was a butcher by trade for many years before moving back home to Tennessee, after the passing of his father. He continued working as a butcher until his retirement in August 2019.
Joe loved his family and had a awesome relationship with everyone. His smile and personality were his marks of genuineness and real friendship.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his two adopted daughters, Joanna Anderson and Porcher Brown; 2 sisters, Linda Batey and Ann Fleming; 21 nieces and nephews, Pernell Thompson, Denise (Robert) London, Bridget (Metro) Boykin, Jerome Thompson, Kenneth (Denise) Fleming Jr., Cory (Candace) Fleming Sr., Shante (Greg) Pollard, John Robertson Jr., Tony and David Robertson, Barry (Katrina) Robertson, Diane Robertson, Elaine Robertson and Patricia Bradley; a host of great and great-great nieces, nephews; a very dear and special friend, Miss Sandra Trease Brown and the Brown family. Thanks to you so much for being there for Joe especially during his illness making sure he was taken care of. We appreciate you.
