James “Jim” Carney’s Video

Mr. James Carney departed his life on February 27, 2024. He was born on May 3, 1946, to the late Alf, Sr. and Nemmie Carney, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

James, whom most called “Jim”, loved working on detailing cars.

James was preceded in death by his son, James Carney, Jr.; brothers, George, Roy, Frank, Joe William and Robert Carney; and sisters, Carrie Carney and Lillie Sneed.

He leaves to cherish his son, Terry Chesterfield; daughter, Shirley Chesterfield; sisters Daisy Rucker, Jinnie Crockett, Sarah (Johnnie) Hathaway and Nemmie (James) Inman; brothers, Neal (Clara) Carney and Alf Carney; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
