Mr. George Wesley Taylor was born June 9, 1924 to the late Callie Benford and Charlie Bud Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his former wife, Esther Taylor; daughter Rosie Taylor and son Charlie Taylor.  After 92 blessed years, he went to take his eternal rest with the Lord Thursday, September 15, 2016.

Mr. Taylor was a faithful member of the Green Meadow Church of Christ for over 75 years. He also served in the military, tours in Europe, England and France.  He drove the supply truck to the front line where he was frequently fired upon during battles. He replaced his training instructor in driving because he was killed right beside him in the supply truck.

Uncle George Taylor is survived by his loving wife Mary Alice Taylor; nieces, Mary Wade, Betty (James) Wade, Deborah (Anderson) Evans, Sarah (Jerry) Hollman, Marion Nelson and Jimmie Gertrude Shannon; nephews, James C. (Emma) Osborne, Larry (Irene) Osborne, Jerry Osborne, Tommy (Betty) Nelson, George (Vanessa) Nelson, William (Marie) Nelson, Albert (Judy) Nelson, Clarence Nelson and Pleas (Jenee) Nelson; dear friends Russell (Tina) Smith, John Frazier and Archie Talley, along with many other relatives and friends.
