Freddie Lee Sutton’s Slideshow

Freddie Lee Sutton was born on August 22, 1934, and departed this world on September 23, 2023, at Life Care Center of Hickory Woods, Antioch, TN.

He was joined in matrimony to the late Annie Elizabeth Sutton on June 5, 1960. From that union, they were blessed with three devoted children Debra Webster of Dayton, OH, Fredrick Sutton of Murfreesboro, TN, and Barbara Bradley of Rockvale, TN.

Freddie was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Overton and Barbara Sutton. He graduated from Bedford County Training School in Shelbyville, TN and spent years training walking horses, working at EATON, and he retired from Arnold Engineering Development Center in 1994.

He played football and baseball throughout his childhood and his love for the sports lead him to become a baseball and football coach where he coached his teams to several league championships and was very influential in the lives of many athletes whom he coached.

He accepted God into his life at a very early age and he was a devoted member of St. Paul AME Church in Wartrace, TN prior to joining Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Wartrace, TN where he served as a Deacon.

Freddie departed to glory leaving behind to treasure his memories are his sister, Margret Branhan of Dayton, OH, three dedicated children: Debra Webster (Gregory), Fredrick Sutton, and Barbara Bradley (Tony); six grandchildren: Damien Webster, Tonaisha Bradley, Peyton Sutton, Jordan Parris (Davone), Alexis Webster, and Myah Sutton and three grandchildren along with an abundance of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

We thank all of our friends and family who helped us through this difficult time. We appreciate your many calls, prayers, and assistance. Much love to you all.
