Fred K. Pinkerton opened his eyes to the world on September 18, 1931. He closed his eyes to be with the Lord on June 15, 2017.  He was the sixth child born to the late Fletcher C. & Ida D. Haynes Pinkerton.  He is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Lillian Jean Johnson Pinkerton, son Frederick D. Pinkerton, grandson Juantae Pinkerton, and mother-in-law Martha Smith. 

Fred was educated in the Rutherford county elementary school and graduated from Holloway High School.  He accepted Christ at East Castle Street Original Church of God in Murfreesboro under Elder Beard from Lebanon and participated in the HYPU, Sunday school and sung in the quartet with the Wondering Echoes leading the song “In Shady Green Pastures” with the group.  He was a member of the deacon board at Bethesda Original Church of God and East Castle Street Original Church of God.  He enlisted in the Air Force and served over 6 years of service.  He was united in holy matrimony December 25, 1958 to Lillian Jean Johnson and they raised 6 children, Juana (Picksley) Cheek, Ronnie (Kerrice) Pinkerton, Tina (Rene) Dalley, Calvin (La-Vette) Pinkerton, and Michael Pinkerton.

He is preceded in death by James (Minister Samella) Pinkerton, Bishop Minnie (Clarence) Bradley, Ida B. (Robert) Brown, Laura Lorrell (Elder George) Williams, Charles (Bertha) Pinkerton.  He is survived by brothers Montana Pinkerton, Robert (Louise deceased) Pinkerton, and sister June (Glenn Jr.) Beard.

He leaves also his grandchildren: Jakeisha, Demetrius, Ronald Jr., Kenya, LaShonda, Fletcher, Antwan, Jowohne, Zephian, and Zion.  Great grandchildren, Cheyanne, Nautica, Demetrius Jr., Rontarious, Ronisha, Derontez, Dasia and a host of many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
