Charles Andrew Davis, Jr. was born July 6, 1950. He served in the National Guard for four years and the United States Navy for six years. During his time in the Navy, he was a Dentist. He also worked as a security guard for the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles Andrew Davis, Sr., and his mother Maggie Dean Johnson Davis; sisters, Carmen “Connie” Davis and Vickey Lee Davis; brothers, Ronald Wayne Davis and Larry “Nelson” Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memory to his wife, Doris Smith Davis; two daughters, Twana and Carmen Davis all of Murfreesboro, TN; mother-in-law, Bertha Smith; grandchildren, Keilando Benford, Nekika McCroskey, QuenShawn McCroskey, De’Quesha Davis, Ali’Shea Bates and Fronzarea Batts; sister, Brenda Davis Porter Hodge; brothers, Jerry Michael Davis and Barry (Latisha) Davis all of Shelbyville, TN, and Donald (Susan) Davis of Fort Worth, TX; aunt, Thereas Burrage of Dayton, OH; sister-in-law, Alice Brown; brothers-in-law, Roy (Nora) Smith, Mike, Lewis and Gregory “Smoke” Smith all of Murfreesboro, TN, and Dr. Rodney (Carla) Smith of Frederickburg, VA; ten great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special and devoted friend, Lisa Sparrow.
He was a loving father and grandfather. Butch was proud of his kids and grandchildren, but his great grandchild, his dream baby DuMiria was extra special to him. He loved making homemade pizza with his grandkids alongside his sister Vickey. Butch was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger.
