Allen Polk Ridley was born to Mr. Dudley and Orelee Ridley in South Nashville, TN on August 5, 1944. He was the youngest of five children, and as a child, accepted Christ. Allen was baptized at Little Mt Zion in Nashville, TN.
He was united in marriage to Rev. “Prophetess” Andrea Eubanks (Ridley) on January 31, 1965. They were blessed with two children: Allen P. Ridley III and Arlesia (James) Ridley, God Daughter Deborah (Leonard) Willis.
Allen was educated in the Nashville City School System and graduated from Cameron High School in 1962. He later finished his education while serving in the United States Army for over 27 years.
During his time in the military, Allen served three separate tours of Vietnam. While being stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY, Allen was an Air Assault School Commander. He also served in Ft. Sherman, Panama as the JOTC.
Allen was also a 32° Mason and Eastern Star.
Allen rededicated his life to Christ and answered the call into ministry. He was ordained into ministry on October 8, 2006.
Allen will be truly missed by his grandchildren: Maya Alaya Hill, James Roman Allen Hill (Samantha), Kukoyi Lockett Ridley, Ke’hinde Lockett Ridley, Leila Holland Ridley, Allen P. Ridley IV, and Endrea L. Ridley. His cherished memories will remain forever with his devoted wife, mother-in-law, Lillie Stallworth, children, grand, and great-grand children, along with nieces, nephews, devoted extended family and many wonderful friends.
