Margaret A. Owens was born June 21, 1936, in Woodbury, TN to the late Amanda Alexander Sanders and Webb Glimps, she departed this life on October 26, 2024. A lifelong resident of Cannon County she attended public school in Woodbury and Holloway High in Murfreesboro. She was baptized into Christ at an early age at Water Street Church of Christ and remained faithful at Auburn Hills Church of Christ until her passing.

She retired from AEDC in Tullahoma, TN. She loved spending time with family and listening to old stories told by Charlie Glimps her cousin and her brother Joe. She will always be remembered for her Famous Sweet Tea, which everyone loved. 

She was preceded in death by her stepfather Joe F. Sanders, mother Amanda Sanders and brother Paul Alexander. 

Margaret leaves to cherish her memory, two devoted daughters, Rita Groomes of Woodbury, TN and Amanda Joy {Sam} Bryant, of Ellicot City, MD; two grandsons, Joshua A. Bryant of Virginia Beach, VA and Shane A. (Erica) Groomes of Kingsport, TN; two loving brothers, Joe L. (Genola) Sanders and Jimmie L. (Mary) Sanders, both of Woodbury, TN; three nieces, Gina Greenlee, Gwen (Robert) Frazier and Courtney Sanders; two nephews, Joey Sanders and Kenny Sanders; her Loving Little Boy Legend (Leggy) Cope, Lennox Cope and Lyla Cope; special cousins, Teresa Alexander, Sue Alexander, Cynthia Smith, Jerrie Brooks, Judy Cope and Faye Glimps; and a host of other relatives and friends.
