Johnny Lee Woods, Jr. was born on November 29, 1979, to Juanita and Johnny Woods, Sr. in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He gave his life to Christ early in his youth at Johnson Road Church of Christ in Christiana, Tennessee. He graduated from Riverdale High School in 1998. He departed this life on May 23, 2024, after a short illness. 

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sonxay “Joy” Woods;  four children, Alexander Rangel, Jailen Rangel, Lauren Rangel and Tyler Woods; both of his parents, Juanita and Johnny Woods. Sr.; sister, Nitneka (James) Franklin; granddaughter, Lilah Joy Crepso-Rangel; nephew, James Franklin, Jr.; niece, Morgan Franklin; a host of  aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
