A Time To Be Born…
Jerry Wayne Rankins was born April 3, 1944 to Rev. John Ira Rankins, Sr. and Izora Greer Rankins.

A Time To Live…
Wayne had a sense of humor that when you would see him, he would say “Hey Child”. Just would say things to make you laugh. He was educated in the Rutherford County school system and was a member of Emory Methodist Church and attended Smyrna Baptist Church when he felt like it. He was preceded in death by father John Ira, Sr. and mother Izora Rankins; sister Pearl Rankins; brothers, Leroy, Charles and Rev. John Ira Rankins, Jr.

A Time To Die…
On Monday morning, May 6, 2013, God called Wayne and he answered. He leaves to his memory, sisters, Rev. Dorothy Matthews, Louise Smith, Christine Marable and Martha Smith; brothers, Rev. Dallas Rankins and Rev. JW (Hattie L.) Rankins; sisters in law, Amanda Rankins and Hattie Mai Rankins; aunts, Ross (Robert) Akins and Queenie Woods; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and devoted friends, Vickie Bain and Carmine Woods.
