Jannetta Shevon McClain was born November 29, 1983, to Clifford and Teresa McClain. God called her home on Monday, March 21, 2022.

For the last 17 years, she worked at Menza Daycare where she taught hundreds of kids who all loved her dearly. In her free time, she loved to go to TSU football games and she was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Jannetta was baptized at an early age at the Bird Street Church of Christ. She was a faithful member, loved working with the youth and enjoyed eating Mexican food.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Teresa McClain; grandparents, Clifford, Sr., and Dorothy McClain and Raymond and Loren Wells; aunts, Yvonne Bivens, Penny and Sharon McClain; uncle, Ray Wells; cousins, Nikki Threat and Anthony London.

Jannetta leaves to cherish her loving memories, father, Clifford McClain, Jr.; children, Natasha, Tarvis and Essence; aunts, Shirley (Joseph) Johnson of Nashville, TN, Audrey (Larry) Elliott of Nashville, TN; uncles, Ronnie (Dora) Wells of Murfreesboro, TN, Richard (Manilia) Wells of Murfreesboro, TN, Randy (Gail) Wells and Russell (Tonya) Wells both of Shelbyville, TN; cousins, Terrence Bivens, Trent Locke, Jay Wells, Jeremey Wells, Randell Wells, Tahj Wells, Anthony  and  Antjuan Johnson, L’qisha McClain, Tianna and Malisa; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
