Freeman H. Johnson was born into the union of Willis Bruce Johnson and Mattie Jane Adams Johnson on February 2, 1930, in Union City, TN.
His family moved to Middle TN. when he was at a young age. They settled in Bedford County where he grew to be a productive citizen in Shelbyville, TN. He was employed in manufacturing, and worked at Albea, formerly known as American Can Company.
Freeman was a quiet and dedicated employee until he made his decision to retire. He later moved to Christiana, TN where he resided until his death. Freeman completed his final phase of life in the early morning hour of 5:02am, on Thursday, July 16th, while under the comforting care provided through the gentle staff at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro.
Freeman held a vivid mental ability of mastering the art of connecting numerous pieces to jigsaw puzzles. This was a favorite pastime of his. This tranquil activity matched his kind, quiet, and humble spirit.
Freeman was preceded in death by his parents and also his siblings... Willis Johnson, Robert Austin Johnson, Samuel Edward Johnson, Annie Beatrice Johnson Waite, and Lillie Beatrice Johnson Scales.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Estella Cordilia Webb Johnson; brother-in-law, Billy Webb; sisters-in-law, Lenda Wade, Evelina Webb, and Juanita (Johnny) Woods. He also leaves two devoted great nephews, Timothy Eddins and Johnathon Ray; a devoted great niece, Nikki Tigg; and a host of other relatives, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
