Mr. Dwight Spencer, Sr.'s Live Stream

Dwight Allen Spencer, Sr. was born on March 9, 1951, to the late Lewis and Lena Spencer in Nashville, Tennessee. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Richard, Charles, Louis and Ronald Spencer.

He left this life on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at his home in Smyrna, Tennessee at the age of 74.

During the early years he attended Metro Nashville Schools. Afterwards he entered the United States Navy. He remained there from 1974-1979.

Dwight married Sonya Yvette Rippy on June 4, 2005. He was also baptized at the 15th Avenue Church of Christ in Nashville, Tennessee during this time.

His employment history included the Bruce Lumber Company and also the Harpeth Heights Baptist Church where he served as Facility Manager. He took great pride in his work there and was appreciated by the membership.

Dwight enjoyed spending time with his family at home and also his church family.

Along with his loving wife, he is also survived by his sons, Dwight Allen Spencer Jr, Dwight Allen Spencer III, Jamie Spencer, Demarko Spencer, Jaquez and Bunch, and Kayton Rippy; and daughter, Falithia Witte (Brian). His grandchildren include Elek Witte, Arabella Witte, Dwaunte Spencer, and Damontev Spencer. In addition, he leaves to cherish his memory, his sister, Jacqueline (Walter) Spencer.

An abundance of family also includes sisters-in-law, Kay Spencer, Joyce Spencer and Tonya Y. Rippy. In addition, there are aunts, Nettie (James) Johnson, Raynetta Marable, Linda Weeks, Janice Hawkins, uncles; Willie (Vivian) Ingram, Terry, Lance, and Adam Smith. There are also a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
