Donald Eugene Gipson passed June 9th, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a legacy built on faith, family, hard work, and the outdoors.

Donald was born to Katheryn Gipson and the late James Morgan Gipson. He graduated from Kings High School in Hillsborough County and went on to dedicate 20 years of service to Gipson Road Boring, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dependability.

On March 17, 1973, Donald married the love of his life, Nancy Palek Gipson, in Hillsborough, Florida. Together they built a family that became the center of his world.

Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Gipson; children, Melissa Ann Truesdale and Roy Alan Gipson; mother, Katheryn Gipson; brothers, Nathan Gipson, Mike Gipson, Randy Gipson, and Tim Gipson; grandchildren, Sabrina Lynn Truesdale, Tyler Michael Truesdale, and Taylor Renee Gipson; and great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Paisley, Rilynn, Bentley, and Wilder Grijalva, Koda, Weston, and Oakley Truesdale, Braxton Anthony Gipson, McKinley Yvonnelynn Young and Ryker Deeks Young, who brought him immeasurable joy.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Morgan Gipson and siblings, Larry Gipson and Julia Ann Gipson.

Those who knew Donald knew that if he wasn't spending time with family, he could often be found on a boat somewhere fishing, sitting peacefully along a riverbank with a fishing pole in hand, or deep in the woods enjoying a day of hunting.

Above all else, Donald loved his family. His grandchildren and especially his great-grandbaby were the light of his life. They were the center of his world, and he was the center of theirs.
