Service
David Curtis Latham, known by many who loved him as “PaPa”, was born in Stuart, FL on June 12, 1942 by the union of Ruby Munch Latham and Richard “Dick” Latham. He was peacefully transitioned to his eternal home on March 11, 2026 to be with the love of his life, Shirley Ann Latham.
David lived a life of love, faith and service. He read his bible everyday at a set time before bed. The Lord was the beginning of his day, everyday. He prayed before leaving to run errands and he prayed every day before bed time.
David attended New Vision Baptist Church, the Buchanan location. He was always early to save seats for his family.
David was in the US Navy, he worked as an Insurance Salesman, Handyman, drove cars for places in Murfreesboro, TN, sold Lawson Products and engine coolant; he had many talents. Years and years ago, he painted pictures, he enjoyed handball for many years, tennis and many hobbies throughout his life.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Munch Latham and Richard “Dick” Latham; sister, the late Sharon Latham (Doug) Gullette of California; niece, Wendy Latham (Alan) Pace of Centerville, TN; aunts, Louise Munch and Sarah Munch; uncle, Curtis Munch; and friend, Kris Walters.
David’s memories will forever be remembered by his children, Paige Latham (Robbie) Davis of Rocky Mount, NC and Ramsey Michael Latham of Longmont, CO; step-son, Charlie W. (Kathy) Frazier; step-daughters, Carmelle C. Glenn, Nechelle A. Denning and Demetrice Nicole Fitzgerald; grandsons, Branson Mehki Latham of Roseboro NC and Sam Frazier; brother, Randy (Gisele) Latham; niece and nephew, Karen Latham of Stuart, FL and Ricky Gullette; 11 special grandchildren and 13 special great grandchildren; David had made some lifelong eternal friends, Jerry Walters, Richard (Helen) Archison, Steve Martin, Johnny McDonald and Robert Miller. He enjoyed all the time he shared with them.
