David Christopher Devone of Dellrose, Tennessee was born in Jamaica Queens, New York to the late David and Marjorie Devone on September 4, 1965. David transitioned, May 9, 2024.

David is survived by his wife, Candace Carney Devone; his sister Valeria Grimes, her husband Rodney and their son Isaiah will miss him dearly and are glad that he is resting in peace with God; brother, Anthony (Plush) Kane; sons, Chris (Courtney) Cullars, Elijah Devone, Aaron Devone, Davine Devone, Stephon Devone, David Devone, Jr., and one daughter, Ebony Devone. David had a bonus son, Robert Workman. David is also survived by his 8 grandchildren.

David was a retired truck driver. His handle was “Poppa Bear”. David was an active member of First Baptist Church in Pulaski, TN. David loved God and he loved his church. Pastor Tony was not only his pastor but also his friend. David loved VANS! He designed an impressive custom van while living in New York. If you knew David, you will forever understand the significance of the number 132, red robins and R/C cars.

Special beloved friend, LaRhonda G. Martin and her grandson, Jr. held a special place in David’s heart. David’s barber, David Fletcher of 31 Fadez in Elkon, TN always had David’s back. David Christopher Devone exemplified a true example of “Green Acres”. He left Queens, NY and fell in love with Country living.
