Carl Alford McClure, age 76, of Beech Grove, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. He was born on December 19, 1949, in Decatur, Alabama, to the late Barney McClure and Annie Belle Romans McClure.

Carl was a hardworking man who loved life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed fishing, working as a mechanic, and spending countless hours working on vehicles. More than anything, Carl loved his family. He treasured his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and adored his faithful dog, Roscoe.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his sisters, Dora, Marthie, Francis, Mildred, and Evon; his brothers, Rayford, Sandy, Leroy, Alfred, Robert Sr., Bradley, and J.B.; his stepdaughter, Amy McClure; and his grandchildren, Alyssa McClure and Dallas Winfree.

He is survived by his children, Holly (Dustin) Winfree, Michael McClure, and Adam McClure; his stepson, Sam McClure; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; his brother, Bob (Debbie) McClure; his sister, Juanita Ashford; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Carl will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
