On August 6, 2020, our beloved Bernadette R. Evans transitioned to her heavenly home. Born December 15, 1946, to the late Leslie Lorenzo Evans, Jr. and Elizabeth Lark in Washington, D.C., Bernadette affectionately known as “Brandy”, was the eldest of three children. She was a longstanding member of Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by both her parents; and sons, William David Berry Jr., and Leslie Lorenzo Berry.

She is survived by her children, Angelique Berry, Desiree Berry Savoy and Tyree (Yvonne) Watson; stepmother, Geraldine Evans; one sister, Diedre Evans; one brother, Jeffrey (Jeannette) Evans; several grandchildren: Kierra Berry Baker, John Anthony Savoy II, Tatiana Savoy, Dontae Lippert, Kiandra Batts, Nautica, Kayla, Treshon, Micah, Jasiah and Jada Berry, Cristian, Brooklyn and Aaliyah Watson, and Destiny Gunn; six great grandchildren, Zyon Kamara, Zaria Barber, Amerah Batts, Ivy Berry Smith, King Aries Lippert and Avaya Savoy Daniels; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
