Alline M. Lanier, a.k.a. Meatball, was born January 22, 1943, to the late Della Miller and Andrew Miller. She departed this earthly realm on Thursday, August 22, 2024, in Unionville, Tennessee.
Alline was called Meatball by her loving siblings and husband. She graduated from Holloway High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She was a part of the Tiana Ladies and the Red & Black. She retired from Nissan after 15 years, then worked at Ponderosa for 10 years before she decided to spend time spoiling her grandkids and great grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Della Miller; father, Andrew Miller; brothers, Billy Miller, Bobby Miller and Roger Miller; sister, Nancy Miller; great grandson, Endsley Lanier-Smith; and her loving and devoted husband, Endsley Donald (Duck) Lanier.
Alline is lovingly remembered by her kids Jan Lanier, Donald Lanier, Andrew (Sylvia) Lanier and Steven Lanier; grandchildren, Samantha (Boo) Lanier, Ashley (David) Robinson, Steven (Sharon) Lanier, Kenneth (Meagan) Daniels, Kadella Daniels, LaVetta Lanier and David (Kaitlynn) Daniels; great grandchildren – Dakari, Donnell, Sabreyah, Tabreyah, Jasper, Chloe, Kenneth III, Adrianna and David Jr.; two step-granddaughters, Meguel (Andre) Meyers, Larmecia (Byron) Hix; siblings, Andrew (Faye) Miller, James Melvin Miller, Janice Fletcher and Carlice “Bittie” Knox; in-laws, Peggy, Ruth, Arlene, Lawrence and Larry; she was loved by many nieces and nephews, family and friends; she enjoyed and expected her late night talks from Nita Pugh.
